Released in September 2021, the Tūī by David Trubridge is the latest addition to his range of iconic light shades. Half rings of bamboo are woven into a basket form that would sit perfectly over a dining table, kitchen counter or equally hanging in a stairwell or entrance void, and cast spectacular shadows.
Tūī are the real characters of Aotearoa’s native bush. They hurtle through the bush with drumming wing-beats, miraculously avoiding branches whilst maintaining their cool charm. Their song is like no other: a series of clicks, gurgles and resonant, bell-like notes…some off our hearing scale! They have two dangling white wattles on their throats and around their shoulders is a necklace of interwoven rings which is the inspiration of the Tūī light.

- Bamboo (on one side) with choice of Aqua, Black, Blue, Lime, Orange, Pink, Red or White. Paint colours are commonly faced on the interior of light shade.

The Tui light is available in three sizes to fit in perfectly into any setting;
Small: 500mm high x 400mm diametre (weight 520g)
Medium: 680mm high x 540mm diametre (weight 700g)
Large: 950mm x 760mm diametre (weight 2.4kg)

NOTE: As bamboo is a natural material this light is suitable for dry interior spaces only.
